  • Take sea vegetables twice a week

If available a thyroid patient should take sea vegetables twice a week as they are a fine natural source that provides iodine for the support of thyroid. Opt for sea weed.

  • Cook the kale

A patient with thyroid should take cooked greens vegetables and skin kale smoothies and also salads because cruciferous vegetables comprise of goitrogens which may not be good for thyroid if taken in large quantities. Cruciferous vegetables are i.e. Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli.

  • Slow down on eating

As the thyroid gland is situated in our throat region, it connects body and mind. Thus, if we rush when eating, the food shifts quickly enough from mouth to stomach so much so that even the connection between body and mind is not strong enough. The mouth is clueless about the action of the stomach and vice versa. Therefore, eat calmly and slowly. Chew the food properly. The thyroid should be able to comprehend the message when the food has entered our body.

  • Leave the Cell phone

Connection between brain tumor and cell phones is already known widely. Mobile phones or radiation machines which we hold to your ear are adversely close to our thyroid glands too. It is better to use headsets instead while speaking over the phones. This will create some distance between mobile phones and our thyroid glands.

  • Identify your voice

As the thyroid gland is located in our throat which is the center of communication of an individual with the world. People with hypothyroid should speak more while the ones as they usually swallow down what they want to say. On the other hand, people with hyperthyroid should listen more instead. This shall also benefit.

  • Support the Adrenals

Adrenal gland and thyroid work together, hence someone exhausted or depleted may actually benefit from their adrenal support. There are certain stores that provide Adaptogens or herbs that support adrenals.
