What are the symptoms of Polio and its types ?

Polio is a contagious viral illness that in its most severe form causes nerve injury case leading to paralysis which can lead to difficulty in breathing and sometimes death.
Symptoms of Polio:-
Polio is the most severe forms can cause paralysis and death also . However,several people with polio do not show any symptoms or become noticeably sick. When symptoms comes they differ depending on the type of polio.Symptomatic polio can be broken down further into a mild form called non-paralytic and abortive polio and a severe form known paralytic polio that occurs in around 1 percent of cases.Several people with non-paralytic polio make a full recovery. Unfortunately, those with paralytic polio develop permanent paralysis.
Type of Polio is given below:-
Non-paralytic Polio- Few people who develop symptoms from the polio virus contract a divided of polio that doesn’t lead to paralysis (abortive polio). It is usually causes the same mild flu-like signs and symptoms typical of other viral illnesses.
Signs and symptoms of Polio:-
- Fever
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Vomiting
- Fatigue
- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Pain in arms or legs
- Muscle weakness
Paralytic Polio– Paralytic polio affects only a small quantity percentage of those invaded by the polio virus.
Symptoms of paralytic polio often beginning in a same way to non-paralytic polio, but later progress to more serious symptoms such as:
- A loss of muscle reflexes
- Severe muscle pain and spasms
- Loose or floppy limbs that are often worse on one side of the body
