Dr. (Maj. Gen.) Naveen Aggarwal stands as a distinguished figure in interventional cardiology, boasting over two decades of expertise garnered across premier cardiac centers within the Armed Forces. Notably, he held the esteemed position of Head of Cardiology (2015-2018) at the renowned Army Hospital (Research & Referral, New Delhi). With a track record encompassing more than 10,000 interventional procedures, his proficiency spans complex coronary interventions, structural heart procedures including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), electrophysiology, and device implantations. Dr. Aggarwal is credited with pioneering the TAVI program within the Armed Forces and is recognized as a certified solo implanter for TAVI procedures. Beyond his clinical contributions, he has authored 12 scholarly research articles in esteemed national and international peer-reviewed journals, underscoring his commitment to advancing medical knowledge in the field. His illustrious career is further highlighted by his receipt of the GOC Commendation on four occasions, the highest honor for excellence in patient care within the Army, along with the Governor’s Recognition Award from Jammu and Kashmir for his dedication to extending cardiac care to civilian populations in remote areas.
