Dr. Bashir Ahmad Laway is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology at Paras Health, Srinagar. Professor B. A. Laway has acquired his training in Endocrinology at prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. He is recipient of award of AV Ghandi award for excellence in Endocrinology. He has worked as faculty at Prestigious Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar for around 30 years. He has trained more than five dozen D.M. students who are working as leading Endocrinologists across the length and breadth of country and abroad. His special interests are use of new technologies in diabetes like continuous glucose monitoring (CGMS), interpretation of thyroid imaging and assessment of bone health in the form of detailed evaluation of DXA scan and its subsequent management.
