About Dr. Manoj M Agny

Dr Manoj Agny is the Director of Cardiovascular, Thoracic and Transplant Surgeon at Paras Health, Kanpur. He worked at the Oregon Health Science University, Portland, USA initially as a fellow and then as a faculty member. Association with Dr. Adnan Cobanoglu and Dr. Albert Starr helped him in gaining significant skills and insights in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary transplantation. For further experience in heart and lung transplantation, he went to Manchester, U.K. for a couple of years. The English experience was excellent because the transplantation infrastructure also encompassed medical management in addition to surgical one. He has a huge experience in heart and lung transplantation. The return to John Stroger Cook County Hsp and Rush Presby Med Ctr in Chicago, USA for the next couple of years was to gain expertise in OPCABG, mitral valve repairs and robotic surgery. He returned back to India, after spending eight years in the West ( 6 years in US & 2 years in UK ) and practiced for the thirteen years in Mumbai in multiple major private hospitals and performed complex adult and pediatric cases. He was involved in the setting up cardiopulmonary transplantation programmers in Bangalore and Ludhiana. He has numerous publications in indexed international journals and has been an invited guest speaker at many conferences in India and abroad.
