He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of medicine and served as a Professor in Government Medical College, Srinagar, Principal in Government Medical College, Srinagar and Dean at School of Medicine, Kashmir University. He has also served as President of J&K Nursing Council and J&K Paramedical Council.
